Mikhail Rodionov, MVS Group's operations director, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta that cameras recording drivers with unbuckled seat belts and talking on the phone while driving are now tested in Moscow region. At this stage, the necessary evidence base for fixing violations is being determined, no fines imposed on drivers as yet.
Rodionov added that such systems will in due course appear in other regions. Earlier, this type of cameras appeared on Moscow roads. Drivers who violated traffic rules have already been fined.
