Urbantech Group and Transport Ministry Install 80 Warning Signs for Personal Mobility Device Drivers in Moscow Region

Board signs informing scooter and bike users of safe road crossing rules have been installed across the Moscow Region as a means of traffic accident prevention. The project was initiated by MVS Group (member of the Urbantech Group of Companies), the operator of the Moscow Region’s Road Safety Control System.
The board signs were installed at pedestrian crossings in Balashikha, Lyubertsy, Reutov, Mytishchi, Korolyov, Dolgoprudny, Khimki, and Krasnogorsk.

According to the Road Safety Research Center of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, 941 traffic accidents involving personal mobility devices (PMDs) happened in 2022 in Russia, taking a toll of 19 and leaving 976 people injured. 27% of all accidents happened on pedestrian crossings.

As part of the Road Safety regional project and the Safe High-Quality Roads national project, a social round of Safe Mobility takes place from 8 to 28 May 2023 in the Moscow Region, aimed at enhancing road and transport safety of minor motorcyclists, bicyclists, and users of personal mobility devices.
