Urbantech Group installed 600 new traffic enforcement camera units on the roads of the Moscow Region

Urbantech Group completed the installation of all 600 new stationary traffic enforcement cameras, 555 of which are the latest generation Azimuth 4 units of their own production.
The new technical means of traffic control were installed to reduce the accident rate and improve road safety as part of the National Project “Safe and High-Quality Roads.” In total, 1,857 stationary and 200 mobile traffic enforcement cameras are used on the roads of the Moscow Region.
“166 roads in 48 urban districts of the Moscow Region were equipped with traffic enforcement camera units. The largest amount of work was carried out in Podolsk, Odintsovo, Krasnogorsk, and Ramensky and Pushkinsky districts. The units were installed in potentially hazardous areas, traffic accident clusters, designated public transport lanes, unregulated pedestrian crossings, and intersections. The new installed units will help prevent and reduce traffic accidents,” explained Alexey Gerzhik, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Transport of the Moscow Region.
The Ministry of Transport of the Moscow Region notes that the region's traffic enforcement system is one of the most advanced and effective in Russia in terms of reducing the accident rate. Over six years, the number of traffic accidents, fatalities, and traffic-related injuries has decreased by more than 40%.
